พระครูโสภณพุทธิศาสตร์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายประชาสัมพันธ์และเผยแผ่ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย(มจร) กล่าวว่าตามที่ พระเทพปวรเมธี (ประสิทธิ์ พฺรหฺมรํสี) รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายบริหาร มจร  ในฐานะประธานศูนย์ควบคุมและป้องกันการแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 หรือ โควิด-19 (ศปค.19 ) ได้ออกแนวปฏิบัติมาตรการป้องกันและดำเนินการให้เป็นไปตามนโยบายของรัฐ กระทรวงสาธารณสุข และมหาเถรสมาคมในการป้องกันการแพร่ระบาดของโรคโควิด-19 โดยห้ามไม่ให้นิสิตชาวต่างชาติที่พักอยู่ที่หอพัก มจร. อ.วังน้อย จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยา ออกนอกพื้นที่นั้น ทางมจร จึงเกิดแนวคิดให้นิสิตชาวต่างชาติจำนวนกว่า 400 รูป/คน จาก 15 ประเทศ จัดพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์นานาชาติ เพื่อให้กำลังใจสู้ภัยโควิด-19 โดยเริ่มมาตั้งแต่วันที่ 8 เม.ย.ที่ผ่านมา ที่อาคาร 72 ปี พระวิสุทธาธิบดี (อาคารหอฉันชั้น 2) มจร อ.วังน้อย จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยา ซึ่งจะมีพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์นานาชาติทุกวันในเวลา 10.00 น. วันละประเทศ จนครบทั้ง 15 ประเทศ  โดยจะเจริญพระพุทธมนต์บทรัตนสูตร และโพชฌังคสูตร ในภาษาของนิสิตแต่ละชาติ และให้นิสิตได้เจริญจิตภาวนาแผ่เมตตาจิตให้ชาวโลกได้พ้นจากภัยโควิด-๑๙ ในตอนท้าย

      รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายประชาสัมพันธ์และเผยแผ่  มจร กล่าวต่อไปว่า สำหรับนิสิต มจร จาก 15 ประเทศ ซึ่งพักอยู่ที่มจร อ.วังน้อย จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยา ในขณะนี้ ประกอบด้วย ไทย เมียนมาร์ ลาว เวียดนาม อินเดีย ศรีลังกา จีน กัมพูชา บังคลาเทศ สหรัฐอเมริกา ภูฏาน อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย รัสเซีย และเกาหลี และในการประกอบพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์นั้น ได้จัดให้นิสิตรักษาระยะห่างกันอย่างน้อย 1 เมตรตามมาตรการของทางราชการที่กำหนด โดยเริ่มพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์ก่อนฉันภัตตาหารเพล

MCU ORGANIZED AN INTERNATIONAL CHANTING OF BUDDHAMANTA BY BUDDHIST MONK STUDENTS FROM 15 COUNTRIES RESIDING IN ITS DORMITORY TO BUILD UP ENCOURAGEMENT FOR COMBATTING COVID-19

       Asst. Prof. Dr. Phrakru Sophonbuddhisat, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Dissemination of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University stated that as  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Theppavaramethi (Prasit Promrangsi), Vice-Rector for Administration as the President of the Center for Control and Prevention of Coronavirus 2019 or COVID-19 Pandemic (CCPC.19 MCU) has issued guidelines for the control and prevention of Coronavirus 2019 or COVID-19 pandemic measures in accordance with the policy of the government, the Ministry of Public Health and Sangha Supreme Council in the protection of COVID-19 pandemic by not to allow foreign students residing in the dormitory at Wang Noi, Ayutthaya going out of the place, the university has an idea to invite more than 400 foreign students from 15 countries to perform an international chanting of Buddhamanta to build up morale and encouragement for fighting against COVID-19 disaster, having begun from the last 8^th day of April at 72 years of Phra Visuddhadhipbodi Building (Dining hall) at 10:00 a.m. every day each country until all 15 countries, by chanting Ratanasutra and Phojjhangasutra in their mother tongue.

      Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Dissemination, MCU added that MCU students from 15 countries currently residing in dormitory at Wang Noi, Phra Naknon Si Ayutthaya include students from Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, China, Cambodia, Bangladesh, United States, Bhutan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia and South Korea. To perform the chanting ceremony, students are required to sit at least 1 meter apart as prescribed by the government and this ceremony takes place before lunch.
